Burning Flipside

This past weekend, I attended Burning Flipside, a regional "Burner" event held in Central Texas every year during Memorial Day weekend. The 5 day campout is filled with art, themed camps, lots of costumes, and radical self-expression. As is custom in the Burner community, on the last night, a large effigy is set on fire, while thousands of people watch and celebrate. This year's effigy, designed by the DaFT team, was called Texas Tango and posted below are some photos of the effigy before and during the burn, including some other shots of Flipside happenings.
