Jesca Hoop is an American singer-songwriter and guitarist from Northern California. She stopped in Austin in between current tour dates to record with some of Austin's finest musicians and producers and I was brought in to record the session. Here are videos for the two tracks we shot for her songs Tulip and Feast of the Heart off her upcoming album UNDRESS, as well as the preview teaser that was released last year.

Back in October, I had the honor of documenting the big day for Diana and Ray. Starting with a traditional tea ceremony and ending with a karaoke dance party, it was a wonderful weekend in Dallas, TX with the newlyweds. Check out the trailer for a sneak peak.
The latest chapter in Bald Logo involves hair growth! Revivogen offers dermatologist approved, natural hair growth products that work! Bald Logo remains a champion of all things bald, but they now also advocate for the choice to fight back against hair loss. You can still stand up, shave down and be proud. Check out the video testimonial I produced for Bald Logo and Revivogen, I even make a cameo!

The following videos are from the 2013 Texas 4000 for Cancer team's 70 day summer journey, cycling 70 days and 4,000+ miles from Austin, Texas to Anchorage, Alaska. For three years now I have been filming and producing their video content for their Tribute Gala and this year's videos are the best in my opinion. This is a short video I made for friend Brandon Chicotsky, a PhD student researching How To Build Fame. From his words... Inspired by previous research on viral media and "The Power of Crowds," I've immersed myself in academic archives of socio-anthropological studies on fame. While most crowd behavioral studies, network-development studies and leadership studies are useful, none of them address the most valuable question for the market: HOW TO BUILD FAME? How one builds fame can be scientifically deduced from research and analysis. Few have embarked on a mission of creating a methodology for building fame. Even fewer have sought to publish and share findings with the world. Your support enables me to complete and publish the first phase of research: analyzing archived content, academic publishings and peer reviewed journals on the topic of fame.

Better late than never... it's been 7 months but I've finally finished editing this 4 camera shoot! 2012 ended with a musical bang thanks to Chris Maddin and Chuck Kerr and their revolving collective of local musicians, this time covering the Beatles' Abbey Road. Performed at 502 Bar in San Antonio in it's entirety, Abbey Road was the duo's last album cover project before Kerr's move to Seattle. Featuring musicians Raul Alvarez, Justin Davenport, Jackson Floyd, Ryan Teter, Chris Guerra, Natalie Ball and Ricardo Martinez.

Texas 4000 is the world's longest charity bike ride. I did the ride back in 2008 and have kept involved with the organization ever since as a video content producer. Every year a new team embarks on a 70 day journey from Austin, Texas to Anchorage, Alaska via the Rockies and Sierra mountain routes. This year, celebrating their 10 year anniversary, the organization has expanded to a third route and will be sending a team of riders through the Ozarks. These are two videos I filmed and produced for the 10th Anniversary Bash, highlighting riders past and present, as well as the organization's grass-roots growth over the last 10 years. Best of luck to the 2013 team this summer!
During Memorial Day weekend at the end of May, the Austin Bike Zoo was hired as one of the public art performers at the Chicago Electric Daisy Carnival. I flew in for the long weekend to film and produce yet another Bike Zoo adventure. Special thanks again to EDC and the entire Insomniac Events crew for giving us the opportunity to parade our beautiful bikes at one of your festivals!
Earlier this year, I was hired by the Salvation Army in Austin, TX to film and produce 2 videos for their annual Doing The Most Good Luncheon held at the AT&T Conference Center. The first was a brief introductory video focusing on the organization's mission, followed by the feature which tells the story of a teenage single mom who, through the Salvation Army, was able to move from crisis to stability.
It's always an honor to photograph or film the weddings of my friends. It makes me realize how lucky I am to have such loving, inspiring and memorable friendships. Not to mention, it gives me the opportunity to document all those qualities on a very special day and hopefully capture moments that they will cherish for life. The following videos are some of the highlights from recent friends wedding videos I produced.
In April, I photographed a family wedding that was ministered by my mom... more photos to come soon from the actual wedding, after the bride and groom get first looks at them of course! This was just a nice moment captured of my mom during the wedding rehearsal at The Center for the Arts in Eagle Rock, CA. She is my sun.

For their last live album cover project, Chris Maddin and Chuck Kerr, once again with a revolving band of local musicians, took on the endeavor of performing Abbey Road by the Beatles in its entirety. Needless to say they nailed it and then some with thei performance. It's not completely edited, but I wanted to share my favorite part so far, which happens to by my favorite songs off the album.

This year's HONK!TX fundraiser left a lot of people, including myself, very excited for the upcoming HONK!TX marching band music festival taking place in Austin, TX March 22-24. The Dead Music Capital Band and Minor Mishap Marching Band, who will both be performing during HONK!TX, kicked off the fundraiser festivities with performances that I filmed and edited into a video re-cap from the evening at the Spiderhouse Ballroom.
